Hi! I'm so glad you stopped by. My name is Denise, and I am an Intervention Specialist in my 11th year. I am passionate about the pursuit of success in all areas of life. I work with students of all ages in every subject area, and I especially enjoy Mathematics. I have experience with students in public school districts including public charter schools.
Over the years, I have achieved a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and three Masters degrees: Elementary Education, K-12 Special Education, and Math Specialist. I also have a Post-Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis. My love of learning spills over into my love of teaching and watching students learn, grow, and develop into their best possible selves.
I am a Veteran of the United States Army where I served as a mentor for many Soldiers while performing in the Army Band as a keyboard player. I was also the Equal Opportunity representative for three of the units in which I served as well as a Victim Advocate.

To fulfill our mission and vision, we have developed a program that emphasizes the development of key skills needed for success in all areas of life. Essential skills such as goal-setting, prioritization, time-management, focus, self-discipline, and self-accountability are taught in an engaging and enjoyable way.
In our program, students are actively involved in the learning process and are given the chance to practice and develop these skills under the guidance of an Intervention Specialist. The goal is to provide students with the skills they need to be successful in whatever they choose to pursue. At the heart of our program is the idea that all students, regardless of background and circumstances, can achieve success. Students are encouraged to reach their full potential. We strive to give each student the individualized support and guidance they need to develop their unique strengths and reach their goals.
We believe that all students can achieve success, given the proper tools, guidance, and support.
